RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) is a compact molding technology that is usually used to produce large size but small volume glass fiber reinforced composite parts.
In this molding process, the dry preformed fiber is first put into the mold, and then the mold is closed. When the mold is closed, resin is injected into the mold to impregnate the fibers. Heating is an option to accelerate the curing of the part. When the part is fully cured, the mold opens and the part can be ejected.
